The fantasy setting of the Warcraft series includes many fictional races and factions. When the weather changes unexpectedly on the Isle and it begins erratically spiraling toward the Maelstrom, the elders at the Temple of Five Dawns request the aid of four elemental spirits to unravel the mystery. Most of the primary protagonists of the series belong to either the Horde or the Alliance, however there are a variety of neutral races and factions, who are either friendly or hostile to both the Horde and the Alliance. The native pandaren helped remove the Skyseeker's wreckage and heal Shen-zin Su's wound. Separated from Pandaria for millennia, the Wandering Isle meanders the oceans of Azeroth.

Īfter the collision, the Alliance sailors and Horde prisoners were forced to work together as the crash had severely injured Shen-zin Su.

With no landmasses recorded on their charts and not expecting any obstacles, the crew was shocked and surprised to suddenly plow into a forest right in their flight path, likely at full speed. The survivors of the ensuing battle were taken aboard as prisoners, but while transporting them back to Stormwind the gunship flew into a thick mist, which completely concealed Shen-zin Su from their view, the turtle upon which the isle is located. The wound caused by the wreck causes Shen-zin Su great suffering and will not heal while the ship remains in the wound. After Captain Doren sent the ship back to Stormwind City for reinforcements, it ran into Horde forces at sea. The Skyseeker is an Alliance gunship that crashed into the Wandering Isle and thus wounded the titanic sea turtle, Shen-zin Su, that makes up the isle. Prior to the arrival of Skyfire in Pandaria, the Skyseeker landed on the northern coast of the Jade Forest.
